2026 VCT semi-annual clean-up

Virginia Capital Trail Clean Up, Saturday, April 25, 2026, 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

WAB volunteers needed to help clean up selected miles of the VCT. Cyndee Dragoo of VCTF will be at the Breez-In (mile 13) with pickers, bags, and vests. If you have a preference for a mile or miles to clean up, please let Mike Walls know @ walls.mp2@gmail.com and he will communicate with VCTF about preferences. This is a great opportunity to help clean up one of WAB’s most frequently used routes.

A (20+ mph)
A- (18-20 mph)
B+ (16-18)
B (14-16)
C (12-14)
D (10-12)
Casual Up to 10 mph, with no one left behind

Please note that these are average speeds for the duration of the ride. If you are new to club rides and aren't sure what pace you can maintain, be conservative with your first ride! Direct all questions, cancellations or updates to our ride coordinator at ridecoordinator@wabonline.org

Helmets are required on all WAB rides.

Registration is required for all WAB rides. Pre-registration online accomplishes the following: 1) the ride leader and other participants know who is coming; 2) you are eligible for club insurance in the event of an accident ; 3) you accept the risks involved in riding; 4) you provide necessary legal protection for club leadership and ride leaders, and 5) we have an easy means to communicate in event of a change or cancellation. Please familiarize yourself with the waiver on the registration page.
