Bike Route 76 Celebration Ride

NOTE: This is not an actual organized ride.  People can meet up if they wish, start when they want, ride where they want, ride the pace they want.  There is no designated leader.  The only objective is to be at CRP about 12:45.

In 2026 America is celebrating its 250^th anniversary.  2026 also marks the 50^th anniversary of Bike Route 76 that travels from the east to the west coast. A group of fellow WAB members embarked on a bicycle journey covering most of the Virginia portion of BR 76, starting in Wytheville on June 1^st cycling 350+/- miles to finish in Jamestown on June 6^th. Everyone is welcome to come out to celebrate this accomplishment. Plan on starting at Jamestown Visitors Center. Bike as many miles as you like, but plan to be at Chickahominy Park around 12:45.  The BR 76 group will arrive around that time. Light refreshments will be served, then we can cycle back to Jamestown as a group to complete our journey.

Please note that the JCC Color Ride will be active on the trail between Chickahominy and Jamestown from 9-1 also, with the start at Chickahominy Park.
